Limestone and Fir Trees 1

Hello lovelies!
I'm back with pictures from our 11-day stay at
Konitsa, Epirus in my beautiful country
Greece!

    I'd love to post them at the same time! How about Friday, a week from today? I think they are so lighthearted and fun-- very "Friday" material!

    The carnival sounds like fun. I love knowing about traditions like those. I guess it's kind of like Mardis Gras here or Carnivale in Italy. I have participated in those two before. But, here Mardis Gras is only big around New Orleans, Lousiana and Mobile, Alabama and parts of coastal Mississippi. In those areas, kids get the whole week off from school and lots of adults take off from work to celebrate. For some reason, the rest of the U.S. does not acknowledge it, and now that I am typing this I am wondering why?!?!?! Funny how you never question something like that until you tell another person about it :)

    I don't really like Mardis Gras, either. It's so full of debauchery! Debauchery makes me feel icky, even if I'm not technically taking part.
