Inspiring Words 5

~~learning~~

The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.
- B.B. King

An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
- Benjamin Franklin

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.
- Clay P. Bedford

A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on a cold iron.
- Horace Mann

What can I say about learning, really?

I think I'd feel like my heart had stopped beating if I lost my urge to learn!

I enjoyed thinking of words that inspire me,

only I had great difficulty in choosing just five.

~~~~~
Have you visited Sarah, Claudia, Lynne and Lucy this week?
They have their own beautiful words to share.
Lovely post Viota - I especially like the third quote. I used to teach and gained great satisfaction from helping my students to learn and hopefully to continue to learn long after they had finished with me. One never stops learning.
Clay Bedford wins my "favorite award" today :) Tho --- I don't even know who he is. But - I am curious now :)
Have a nice weekend!
It is true that one is never too old to learn something new - when the desire to do so fades then life becomes dull indeed.
This week was so inspiring, Yiota ! You've made us stop for a while and think about words and this way, we've traveled inside ourselves. Such a great journey !
I can't wait to join "Shells and bells flowers and showers" next adventure :)
Have a beautiful and so blessed weekend !
xoxo
P.S. I added a button of my inspiring words under the "Inspiring words week" button on my sidebar with a link to your blog :)
Hello Yiota, I am wondering if you might have enough time to suggest a YamDaisy menu? I would love to post one that shows your choices of the four dishes, that suit your locality and season.
If you might be able to do this, my email is joystevenson @ netspace.net.au
best Wishes
I have enjoyed reading your posts this week. It is a good idea! About learning, the only one that I can think of is "Knowledge is power".
I hope you have a relaxing weekend - it is raining loads here!
PS I am putting a menu today, but if by chance you are inspired to think of a menu I will put it up as a post in its own time!
I shall visit your friends. I too think I'd be a goner if I lost my love for learning.
