I've been thinking about it for a while now
and I guess there's no better way of saying it
other than simply say it:
this is the last post at
Shell and Bells, Flowers and Showers.
I can't be too sentimental about it,
though it feels very strange.
After three years of blogging,
I feel I have nothing more to share.
I still think from time to time ' this would make a great post'
but I don't find it in my heart to come here and write the post.
My reading list still gives me daily -almost- pleasure
and I can't imagine life without the inspiration and pleasure I get from your blogs.
So I'll be here, reading and maybe dropping by.
Who knows, I may come back some time, sooner or later, with a fresh idea.
We'll see.
In the meantime, I'd really love to keep in touch with you. I've made some special
friends through this space.
If you don't have my home or e-mail address and you want to keep in touch,
please do say so in the comments and we can exchange info.
Take Care!!!

I was only wondering about you the other day when I changed my pillowslips for clean ones!! I am so sorry that you feel you want to stop blogging - I have thought myself at times that I have nothing new to tell and might give it all up as you know but then somehow I come back. It's not necessary to have new fresh things to say - life is samey for most of us I am sure. I would be really sorry to lose touch with you and to hear how things are going for you - might we be pen pals (via e-mail or in pen and ink) as you have been one of my longest standing followers and friends?
Sometimes this happens Yiota. I thought I had stopped for good, only to come refreshed and with a different voice. That might happen for you, it might not. Keep your options open...but whatever you do I wish you and your family all the best of life! ♥
Best wishes! And in case you do change your mind sometime, maybe you should just leave up your blog to make it easier to return? Best wishes to you. :)
Hello Yiota,
I often think of you and miss your beautiful photos and sweet posts. I hope that you will be back, but would like to keep in touch. (I think you may still have my email. If not, leave me a comment on a post.)
Hoping you are enjoying a wonderful time with your son.
Yiota - I'm so sorry to hear this, although I can certainly understand it. If I worked more hours than I do now (24) I don't know if I'd bother. Your pretty crocheted placemat is here on my dressing table - I see it every day; thank you again!
I will definitely miss you and your lovely photos of Greece.
I will be sorry to see you go, but do understand your decision. I often have a hard time thinking up posts. After all this time I can't imagine what is left to talk about.
I hope you will pop in from time to time to say hello. You will be missed.
Take care.
Have enjoyed getting to know you here. Hopefully once in a while you'll pop in to say hello & update - but I understand if you don't. Enjoy any extra time this affords w/ your family :)
