...that, if you only have two hands,
you can't read and crochet at the same time!
And when you would much rather read than crochet,
you can't expect to finish a blanket in a year - or two!
But when you decide you have to finish it soon,
otherwise it would be a joke
- 'nice blanket!' 'oh, thanks! it was a fast project really! It only took five years to make!'-
you scratch your head, think hard and bingo!, technology is the answer.
So with the audio book of Pride and Prejudice in the cd/usb player
and hook and yarn in my hands,
I can still hope that I'll manage to finish my son's blanket
in time for his birthday next month!
Wish me luck!

Good Morning Yiota
The blanket looks fantastic.
Well done you for being able to crochet, I would love to do it but alas....
I love the colours of the wool and I'm sure your son will too!
Happy Saturday

I have often thought I would like to read and crochet at the same time-but watch films or tv instead with one eye on the crochet. An audio book is the perfect solution. Your son's blanket looks good-I like the colours you have chosen.
Love the tone of this post...the fun, the humour, the mocking of the self which we can do so well, can't we? Especially when we are only being half serious! hee!! Glad you found the solution to the reading/crocheting dilemma and your son is going to love his blanket!!
I love this!
