inspiration in pink and green

It seems that I've been using a lot of pinks and greens for my creations.
This colour combination really appeals to me.
I find it very relaxing and I've (very slowly) been working my way towards bringing more of it at home.

So when I started looking for a sewing book to order from the Book Depository in order to take advantage of a friend's offer (thank you J!), this one made my heart miss a beat. This must have been the fastest order I've ever placed!

I knew I didn't need another sewing book, but I also new I needed to spoil myself with some serious dosage of eye-candy!

You wouldn't believe me if I told you how much time I spent looking at these two pages above while drinking my Sunday morning coffee at the balcony!

Maybe I can finally find something to make with these fat quarters I bought back in autumn!

I realise I've basically showed you here some of the great photography that accompanies the projects and not much of the projects themselves.
I told you: in serious need of eye-candy!

Hope you have a great week!

What a lovely book - hope you were satisfied with the service given by BD? We will look forward to seeing the projects in due course but a little inspiration and dreaming is the first step to a finished project isn't it?!!

It looks like a very pretty book-and those are always inspiring! I don't need another book on interior design but I recently bought 'Creative Walls' and it is lovely-and I too have spent lots of time looking at it. If you do that it makes it worthwhile I think!

I have a lot of craft books I like to look at but don't (or haven't yet been able to) use. I like your patchwork, I'm attempting my first big patchwork project too though mine is hand sewn, I don't especially like machine sewing probably because I'm not any good at it!

The book looks lovely.

Hoping it will give you lots and lots of inspiration!

Great eye candy! The photo's and colors are so pretty. Sometimes it's nice to sit with a cup of coffee and a book of pretty things for inspiration!

There are times when just looking at the photographs in books is enough. It feeds something inside...a need for beauty and colour and pattern that just makes us feel good. If it sparks some creativity and projects of our own that's a bonus. And I love the fat quarters you bought..can't wait to see what you end up doing with those!
