on reflection

~ from home number 1 to home number 2, I'm home ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you've been reading my ramblings for a while, you may remember this post where I wrote about not feeling at home either here or in my city.
I'm glad to report that a different feeling is warming my heart now.
I had a lovely, relaxing time at the city home over the holidays with lots of cosy moments; it really felt like home after a couple of days (well, it is home, isn't it? ). And now I'm here at this little village that at least for this school year I call home; when I left the city this morning I thought I would need some time to feel this place warm and cosy but no, nothing like that. Both my son and I were glad to find all our things here and went about as if we never left!
~~~~~~~~
I've bought a beautiful notebook to use as a journal and this feeling will definitely make it to the top of my gratitude list today.
~~~~~~~~~~
Have a wonderful weekend!
So wonderful to read Yiota and what a great way to start the new school year too. I hope that this change in feeling will help your time apart from your husband easier.
Have a wonderful weekend
So glad that you feel at home there Yiota. Home is where the heart is and that can be anywhere can't it? Hope that this feeling of coming home will make it easier to say goodbye to your husband till next time you get together.
Ditto to all of the above comments, but I especially like what Joy said. My "hat's off to you", Yiota, for always being so upbeat and positive...for looking for the silver lining in every cloud, and, in the looking, finding even more than you expected!
Happy New Year!
What a wonderful moment, Yiota! And journalling is a great idea as you find out what home is. When I moved here to Norway from my home country of the USA, it was difficult and it took a long time for me to be able to call this country I now live in home. But it did happen, slowly, gently, and with my heart softly opening, it did happen. :o) Wishing more wonderful moments... ((HUGS))
I went years feeling sort like a homeless girl. I lived in one place for 5 years, I added every cozy touch of home, & yet it never felt like home to me. I think I missed my mom. Family = home to me & I didn't have that. But now I'm most certainly at home.
This was a lovely post. It allowed me to consider what those feelings feel like & reconnect to different parts of my own journey. I'm so happy that you & your son are feeling at ease, at peace, & at home. It is good!
Love.
