Art

Can you guess how these were made?

Ok! Here is the answer: (I added another image that makes things clearer) it's a simple drawing paper, only blue, with tons of children's glitter! We were painting with brushes with my son and he spotted the little jars with glitter in his cupboard -the cheapest material you can imagine. So he took the blue paper, emptied all four little jars on it and mixed everything together with the brush. The smell was so intense I took it out on the balcony 'to dry' I told him, 'to throw away at some point' I thought. I couldn't believe my eyes the following morning when it was all dry and 3-dimentional from the huge amount of paint on it! I'm planning to frame it and put it up in his room.
Thanks for playing along ladies! Some good guesses there!
PS. Note to myself: buy some wooden pegs!

No - do tell! Is it paint and sand or glitter and on what - fabric or paper? Can't guess at all. How intriguing!

Definitely 3-dimensional, I'm thinking.....T-shirt or crinkled paper? I have no clue, but it's quite intriguing:)

It looks like carnival glass. My guess is oil - but that is as far as I get! i can see them pegged up - so I will say oily finger paint on paper!

Maybe glitter on metal? I hope you tell us!

That is a lovely effect-like beautiful multi-coloured metal! Glad you kept it long enough to find out what would happen!

Oh, I MISSED the guessing game. Darn.

So neat how things like that turn out. I love it! It looks like an underwater galaxy.

Some wonderful art can come from just relaxing and having fun:) LOVE it! DO frame it......
Our house is decorated with LoTs of artwork our children did through the years...Adds warmth & personality...i just hope my 'children' don't decide they want some of their art from years gone by to put in their own houses........Lupines and i are already "fighting" over one piece of hers that has been hanging in our foyer for years. (So far I'm winning....It's still there:)

Neat effect! Your son must've had fun too. Kinda reminds of finger painting...did you ever do that as a kid?

Thank you all for your comments on my son's 'art'. He chose a frame from the supermarket yesterday and now it's decorating his room.
MyStory: I don't know if finger painting had been invented back then but I first discovered it as a uni student (first uni degree: kindergarten teacher)
