speechless ....literally

Do you like my new scarf?
I bought it in August in the sales and wasn't planning on wearing it before October.
But I did wear it this morning to keep my neck warm, as I'm 'speechless' since yesterday evening.
The cold I caught at the beginning of the week turned into a pharyngitis;
the doctor said the only real remedy is aphony. I mustn't speak at all for a few days! Who? Me!!! Ha! Little one can't read yet so I can't write him notes and we'll be alone this weekend. Not to mention work.
I need to try and do my best, though. This is something that happens every single year, and because I don't do aphony, it lasts for about two weeks.
~~~~~
Stop by over the weekend; I have some lovely flowers to show you.
Now I need to go get little one from school.
~~~~~
Take Care!

I can figure how hard is for you to keep aphony... I feel the same way when Autumn or Winter comes :) By the way, have you ever heard about pomegranate? It's really good and it really works! Just cook the shell for a few minutes and gargle it. Well, the taste is not good, but it works ;)

Get well,

xoxo

I know the feeling - it's horrid and keeping silent is not an option for a teacher!! Or a mother either! Hope you will feel better soon and that your voice will soon return. The scarf is lovely.

Very hard if not impossible to remain silent. Can you whisper to your little boy - that would help a little!
I like your scarf - very elegant :-)

While you're speechless, :)

I keep thinking about when you said you would love to go back to school...

You could check out the program I am doing! I think of you every time I find out someone is in one of my classes from Germany or Great Britain or Spain or Japan... why not from Greece?!?!?!

Here's a link: http://www.worldcampus.psu.edu/MasterinCurriculumandInstructionChildrensLiterature.shtml

It could be ideal, as you:
1. Work with children
2. Work with the English language and have an amazing grasp of it (better than many Americans, in fact!)
3. Have a sense of poetry and a love for stories... you could certainly use them in educating your young-uns! (That's American Southern slang for "children" :))

Anyway, I just wanted to pass the link along, since I see so many international students going through the program. It's the type of program where you never have to set foot on campus, unless you want to. So you could do every bit of it from Greece.

Plus, Penn State University is very well-ranked. It's been informally dubbed "Public Ivy."

No pressure! Just wanted to pass on the info! I also thought you might want something to occupy your mind from missing your husband :(

Thinking of you over here in South Caroline, USA,

Courtney
