been camping...

PS.Because some of you are asking, let me explain the living/working situation: the school I belong to is the one I worked at this past school year, faraway from home. The years before, I asked for a temporary transfer to a school near home, which I got, that's why I wasn't away. The school year that has just ended though, I'd decided to go to my appointed school because I had to do that in order to be eligible for a permanent transfer in case there was an opening near home - but there wasn't one, that's why I have applied for another temporary transfer (as have many many other teachers). We'll know who goes where at the end of August (schools start in September). If I get the transfer I'll either be here at home or at my village ( I applied for both areas; my village is 85km away from home, my school is 450!) If I don't get it...I may have to leave again or I may ask for a sabbatical (which means no income). Hope this makes sense. I know it's confusing and it's frustrating for us not knowing where we'll be in a few weeks.
PPS. Today's post: 13 words / Postscript: a gazillion words!

How frustrating it must be not knowing where you'll be working or if you'll be working come September! Do hope it all works out for you though.

Think that looks like must the best sort of camping your son is doing there!!

It is fun camping indoors. Hope you had a tasty picnic in that basket too!
It must be really hard not knowing where you will be teaching in September. I find it hard enough and I do know!

wow it does sound confusing! In your situation, I'd climb into that little tent and go to sleep and forget about it! :)
But actually I hope you get the placement you want.

I hope that you manage to get your transfer near to your home as it must be very unsettling not knowing where you will end up. Hope you are enjoying your summer break.

Hello Yiota:
What a very complicated system you are having to contend with to find a permanent post. It must all be so unsettling for you and very difficult to really put down roots in one particular place.

Just the thought of camping fills us with dread but camping inside the house sounds like a fun activity that we have never tried.....and, an indoor picnic too, how lovely!

We spend most of our time in Budapest and know that the situation with teachers there is very difficult indeed. Not least of which is that the pay is poor and the working conditions not the best.

We have found you by a most circuitous route involving Jenny and her travels but we are so pleased to have found your most varied and interesting blog. We are following your adventures!

Whatta fun gift for a little boy to receive! Fun Fun! Oh the places his imagination can take him in that tent/igloo?? :)

It must be hard with your future being so uncertain. Try not to worry too much -- it doesn't do any good & it makes it difficult to enjoy the treasures of today ;)

i love the colorfulness & contentment in your previous posts :)

Thanks for explaining. Must be unsettling not knowing where you'll be though until just before. Hope it all works out for you.
Lovely camp.

Love, love, love that igloo tent Violet and I often do camping in the lounge - though her little tent is on the small side and I struggle to get out again once I'm in :0)
Wishing you the best of luck with a teaching place close to home xx
