Hi Yiota! Thank you so much for being so quick to visit my recent (sort of) post.....since it has been ever so long since my last post. It was very encouraging to have visitors so quickly:)......I absolutely LoVe the changes you have made to your blog since i last visited! your photographs (on this and posts before this one are wonderful!)
I'm curious...Is a "Name Day" the same as a birthday?
oh name day that's cute is it his birthday too?
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful celebration! Have fun!
Thank you so much for the wishes!
No, a name day is not the same as a birthday.
In Greece, our names are names of saints; the Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of a saint on the same date every year. On this date, everyone with the name of the saint celebrates, too. Mine is on the 15th of August -Yiota is short for Panayiota, which comes from "Panayia" (meaning, mother of all saints -Virgin Mary)
I hope that means PICTURES to share :)
This was a cute post. P.S. What is a "name day"?
HOW INTERESTING!
