PS. This post is scheduled. It's my son's name day today and we're at our village(s) to celebrate it with friends and family.

We'll be back tomorrow. (maybe!)

Bright and colourful post Yiota. Play should never stop just because we are no longer children in age our inner child still needs it! Enjoy your son's name day.

I'm curious...Is a "Name Day" the same as a birthday?

Thank you so much for the wishes!
No, a name day is not the same as a birthday.
In Greece, our names are names of saints; the Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of a saint on the same date every year. On this date, everyone with the name of the saint celebrates, too. Mine is on the 15th of August -Yiota is short for Panayiota, which comes from "Panayia" (meaning, mother of all saints -Virgin Mary)
