turbulence

what can you do when the priceless peace and quiet
you struggle to have in your life and at your home
is threatened by something you're not responsible for
yet can hardly avoid?
~
what can you do when you were told never to show your face at a place again
- through no fault of your own let me tell you, other than being married to
and having a good relationship with a certain man -
and then being treated as if nothing had happened?
~
are you supposed to forget everything
and risk a possible attack out of the blue
-sometimes I feel a simple 'hello' could be misunderstood -
in order to keep the tranquillity you have worked so hard for?
~
are you supposed to put up with everything
and count the days and hours before you leave
and find shelter in your own family
(nuclear and extended)?
~~~~~~
Cassie, my son's little hand picked your name for a little surprise in the mail.
I avoid confrontation at all costs so my solution may not be good for all.
It's impossible to ignore the hurt caused by others and it's a difficult choice to make - have nothing more to do with the one/s who hurt you or gloss over as if it is of no importance. It depends how much contact you must have with such people but my choice would be to cut contact. If you cannot then 'count the days and hours' as you suggest and feel sorry for the person/s who cannot be happy with you and for you.
I hope you'll soon be home and safe again.
Things like this used to hurt me but time and age taught me that no matter how nice you are, some folks want to find fault. Wishing you peace in your heart, and a safe trip home!
Sounds like a hug would be good so here's a cyber one (((Yiotta))) for you. Hope you will find peace in your heart again soon and that this incident will soon be relegated to the furthest recesses of your memory.
Dear Yiota,
I don't like the sounds of this and do hope that you are okay. I hesitate to offer advice when I don't really know the story, but I do want you to know you are in my thoughts.
Kindness in another's trouble
Courage in your own
