Beauty all around

Sometimes it's hard to find beauty in a big city where everything is covered in cement and the few trees are dusty and not at all fresh. So I often find myself seeking beauty in the little things; like these little courgettes with their blossoms I bought as today's salad. They're so fragile yet full of freshness -so beautiful!

What do you find beauty in?
A flower, a cute kitten or puppy, the clouds...?

I find beauty on rainy days when I see the rain drops on the leafs ... I also find beauty when I look the sky at night with all those stars , the moon ... But where I really find beauty is when my daughter smiles to me because at this time I'm sure that even with not so many great things in this planet , it's really worth being here and sharing our ideas through blogs and making this world much better :)

Children! of course! I took that for granted -nothing more beautiful in the whole world!

Too many things to list but mostly the small things in nature like a raindrop shining like a diamond on a stem of grass, the colours in a butterfly's wings, a tiny flower pushing up through the tarmac in a tiny scrap of earth, birdsong ....but you're right it is easy to find beauty in the little things and we should try to do that and not get bogged down with the big ugly things.

Thanks for telling me about Elinor Dashwood - I am not sure I am all those things though but maybe I am!

Those courgettes are so beautiful!
I find the most beauty in nature and living things. Beauty is something so overwhelming, and it is very important to me to surround myself with it as much as possible.

The smell and feel of used books, the wrinkles at the corners of people's eyes, Boykin Spaniels, old cemeteries, breezes, and dicing fresh, colorful vegetables for dinner each night.

Oh, and baskets. I love baskets.

These are just lovely and the way you have arranged them too! I see beauty in so many things but a definite favourite would be trees in winter. There is just something about them that makes me happy.
Thanks for your visit and comment the other day-you are so right-about light! I love trying different ways of lighting subjects in my amateurish way!

You're right - beauty is all around, some days/places it's easier to find than others.

Lovely photos.

Exquisite! What could be more beautiful than that row of fresh zucchini, JUST the size I like them. They remind me of other rows of beauty: a childs toes, blossoms of wattle, peas in a pod, it is all around us!

You asked about how a swap is done - I guess that the person who initiates it mentions it in her blog says what is to be swapped and gets people to let her know if they are interested. Then she decides who will be whose swap partner and in this case the person we sent to was not the person we received from. Then she lets each participant know who they are to send to and what that person's postal address is via e-mail (obviously not on the blog) and you can check out your partner's blog to find out a little more about them before sending off your package. The rest you know.

Seems like a good idea to get people interested in blogs they might not otherwise have come across.
